Aespa Parallel Lines World Tour

First concert of 2025 baby!

I was never a huge girl group fan until last year when I was really impressed with a few groups, and when I saw Aespa was touring I knew if the ticket price was reasonable I’d love to go. Prudential Center is a GREAT venue with hardly a bad seat in the house, easy to get to, plentiful close parking, and even a few places to eat within walking distance! Snow didn’t stop us (from making the drive or wearing adorable outfits). I based my outfit off of the MV for ‘Drama’ and nailed it in both look and comfort.

I believe this was their first world tour, so I wasn’t expecting an insane set design but I was pleased with the animations on the screens behind the girls and the few set pieces they did have worked really well for their songs. Outfits were cute enough (nothing mind blowing though). But I don’t want the somewhat lackluster start of this concert review to take away from some really AMAZING points.

1- the on stage camera work was insane, A+ to whoever was in charge of that. Up close and moving with the girls gave a really cool perspective and added another level of depth to the performance.

2- I was very impressed with their vocals. Lip syncing and heavy back tracking is common, and I’m not sure why they replied on those so much because when the girls did sing live- it was FANTASTIC. A little disappointed we didn’t get more authentic live singing.

Their interactions with the crowds and Ments were short but cute, and their later half with the relaxed songs and encore were very fun. I got to hear all the top songs that originally sucked me into Aespa and they all did their solo songs from the newest album. The crowd was energetic and into it but definitely a different vibe from the boy groups.

Sadly no freebies or mingling beforehand as it was freezing and snowing but thankfully that meant they moved those entrance lines FAST and got everyone inside. Merch was not sold out but lines were very long and because they released merch ahead of time we had already gotten what we wanted.

Overall despite the cold and not feeling my best I enjoyed it, although I must be honest I’m not sure I’d see them again live. Love the songs on the albums and the music videos are fun but that might be it for me- at least for this group. I will say girl groups are good for younger fans as they are typically a little more bubblegum and less sex appeal.
